Konnie Huq hosts Perudo Championships 2008

Paul Lamond Games is happy to announce former Blue Peter presenter and last years Perudo Championship winner, Konnie Huq, will be coming back to defend her title and to host the Perudo Championship 2008 which will be held at the Groucho club on the 27^th October. Konnie Huq stated “I had a brilliant time hosting last year’s event.  I had heard of the Perudo but had never played the game before yet after playing and ultimately winning last year, I am completely hooked, I’m very excited and I’m coming back to win again!”  Following 2007’s huge success and demand to compete this year at an all time high, London regional heats will be taking place in Hamleys party room on the 29^th September, where 16 keen Perudo players have been invited to battle it out for two qualifying places into the final games. According to the inventor of Perudo, Cosmo Fry commented “Perudo’s growing popularity with celebrities along with regular press exposure is creating huge recognition in the market – we even have a facebook appreciation page which people can join to find out about future Perudo events.  The championship this year is going to be bigger and better than the last and I am already looking into hosting regional heats throughout the UK not just in London next year.  I am extremely happy Konnie is supporting us and hosting the event again.  It should be a great night!”
